    The problem

A previous lender declined after reading the company's website, where the product language suggested explosives. The company makes electronics, not explosives.

    How we fixed it

We described accurately what the company makes and how its products are used, so underwriting assessed the real business. The loan was approved, with the merchant cash advance paid off from proceeds.

    What happened next

A Phase I environmental report was added as a requirement days before closing, after the advance payoff figure changed. We cleared it and the loan closed.
